In this workshop, we will share our experiences with teaching reading to higher level ESL literacy learners.  We will focus on creating and adapting materials, developing reading strategies, designing content, and assessing learners in a variety of ways.

ESL Literacy learners encounter a wide range of texts and we will look at teaching both fiction and non-fiction.  This workshop will give opportunities for working directly with sample texts and discussion.

The one-day workshop was facilitated by CEIIA faculty members Emily Albertsen and Dan Merryfield and delivered to ESL literacy practitioners at Sacred Heart Foundations LINC in Edmonton, Alberta.
